What is Ideal Weight?

Ideal body weight (IBW) is a theoretical weight that is believed to be maximally healthful for a person based on their height and gender.

We use the Robinson formula (1983), which is one of several formulas used to estimate ideal body weight. The calculation takes into account your height and gender.
